Ketzali Awalb’iitz Pérez

In 2015, during my student exchange in Guatemala, I met Ketzali Awalb’iitz P’erez, indigenous poqomam singer/songwriter/musician, whom besides of becoming my friend became someone special with who I shared music with. In various occasions she invited me to collaborate with her on her presentations, singing and adding vocal harmonies to her songs and she doing the same for my songs.

In 2016 Sergio Mita recorder a video for the song “Tú” by Awalb’iitz, in which she invited me to be a part of and to sing next to her.

If you want to see the video and know more of Ketzali’s projects, you can follow her on her official Facebook page.

Roge Morales

In 2015, during my student exchange I went to study abroad at Escuela Superior de Artes de la USAC, in Guatemala and I met Roge Morales: guitarist and composer. In 2017 he made me an invitation to collaborate with him and we were working from distance in 2017 to 2018. He made the composition of a musical piece to which I added lyrics and voice, having as a result the song called “Vendaval”.
