2013 - 2015

In 2013, 2014 and 2017 I participated on a project called Borderlands, in which a group of university students from Tijuana and San Diego get together to learn more about living next to the border. In this project I visited some organizations like Casa del Migrante (Migrants Asylum) and Border Angels, where I was able to learn some stories and to have conversations with people about their own experiences. This project woke in me the interest of using the art to process what I was learning and to give this situation the importance beyond just being an everyday phenomenon from my city. It was during 2013 to 2015 where I was working with this theme while I was studying Fine Arts, as I was also learning and experimenting with new techniques like etching/print and sculpture.
