Fragmentos de una historia (Fragments of a history) is a personal project that comes from the genealogy and the need and desire to know my grandfather and make him part of my own history.
Before I was born my grandfather past away, so I didn’t have the opportunity to know him besides from some photographs and stories of how he was. With the passing of time, have come to my hands some objects that have given me a brief profile of him. Among those objects I found two big treasures: an analog camera and some photo slides taken by him. Part of his life and memories are showed on those photographs, unknown inheritance that I took as a way to get to know him and to build my own memory about him, to build his portrait based on all those stuff captured by his eyes.
Fragmentos de una historia was presented for the first and only time as interactive art piece in the year 2014 for the art show of interactive art “Evocación Reactiva” (Evocative Reaction) at Nodo y Praxis gallery in Tijuana.
